Where Is Rya Elden Ring Location And Quest Details

Rya is one of the most memorable non-player characters in Elden Ring, offering players a unique narrative path tied directly to Volcano Manor. Her questline provides crucial lore regarding Mt. Gelmir while rewarding adventurous players with valuable access to hidden areas and special items. Understanding her exact locations throughout the Lands Between helps ensure that players do not miss any vital story beats.

Starting Rya's Questline in Liurnia

Players first encounter Rya in southern Liurnia of the Lakes, standing inside a small stone pavilion near the Birdseye Telescope north of Laskyar Ruins. She explains that a thief stole her precious necklace and asks the Tarnished to recover it from a nearby location.

To complete this request, head northwest to the Boilprawn Shack and speak with Blackguard Big Boggart. You can either purchase Rya's Necklace for 1,000 runes or defeat him to take it back. Returning the necklace rewards you with the Volcano Manor Invitation, setting her story into motion.

Finding Rya at Altus Plateau and Volcano Manor

After reaching the Altus Plateau, Rya appears near major arrival points depending on your path. If you took the Grand Lift of Dectus, she waits at the top of the platform, whereas taking the Ruin-Strewn Precipice places her near the Lux Ruins at Erdtree-Gazing Hill. Speaking to her here allows her to teleport you directly inside Volcano Manor.

Once inside Volcano Manor, accept Lady Tanith's request to join the faction to progress Rya's dialogue. After completing initial contract missions, Rya relocates deeper into the manor's rooms, where she reveals her true serpent form named Zoraya.

Uncovering the Secrets of Volcano Manor

Investigating the manor leads to a hidden passage behind an illusory wall in the drawing room. Exploring this dark path brings players into the Prison Town Church and through the surrounding dungeon. Defeating the Godskin Noble inside the Temple of Eiglay awards the key quest item known as the Serpent's Amnion.

Handing the Serpent's Amnion to Rya causes her to vanish from her usual spot in search of the truth about her origin. Lady Tanith will then offer the Tarnished a Tonic of Forgetfulness to erase Rya's painful memories. You can locate Rya hiding in a secluded alcove past the lava fields beneath the Temple of Eiglay.

Choosing Rya's Fate and Quest Rewards

When you locate Rya in her hideout, you must decide how her personal story ends. You can choose to give her the potion, kill her as she requests, or refuse both options and defeat Rykard first. Refusing the tonic and leaving her alive yields Zoraya's Letter alongside the Daedicar's Woe talisman after reloading the area.
